What does this mean for your rate per post?
The minimum wage is only the first line of your cost. On top of it you pay a reliever for 7-day posts, employer PF, ESI and bonus, uniform and your service charge, and GST goes on the bill. Use the "Rate per post" link in any row above: it opens the manpower rate calculator with that row's monthly basic and VDA filled in. Where a state notifies monthly rates, the daily figure is the monthly rate ÷ 26; where it notifies daily rates, the monthly figure is the daily rate × 26.
What should you note about these rates?
- The order sets the same rates for every employment where minimum wages are otherwise fixed under the Minimum Wages Act, 1948, so the security, housekeeping and construction tables are identical. Confirm your employment is a scheduled employment in Uttar Pradesh.
- Issued as interim relief under section 3(b) of the U.P. Industrial Disputes Act, 1947, in supersession of the Labour Commissioner's order No. 1477-84 (M.W.)/15 dated 25 March 2026 (except piece-rated brick kiln work).
- The order does not state the unit of these rates; the figures are consistent with a monthly rate, so they are shown as monthly. They take effect from 1 April 2026.
Where do these figures come from?
Source: Government of Uttar Pradesh, Shram Anubhag-2, Order No. 374/36-2-2026-2041256 dated 17 April 2026 (English translation), effective from 1 April 2026. Categories with their own notification link to it above. Last checked on 8 October 2026.
Verify with the official notification before you pay or quote. Rates change, and a newer notification may have replaced this one. The Uttar Pradesh labour department publishes the current rates: official labour department website.
