What does the minimum wage in Jammu and Kashmir depend on?

Like other states, Jammu and Kashmir fixes minimum wages separately for each type of work (such as security services, shops and establishments, or construction), for each skill level (unskilled, semi-skilled, skilled, highly skilled), and often for different zones. Rates usually have a basic part and a VDA that is revised from the cost of living, often twice a year. Read the current notification for the category, skill and zone of each site.
