Minimum wages in Haryana

What does the minimum wage in Haryana depend on?

Like other states, Haryana fixes minimum wages separately for each type of work (such as security services, shops and establishments, or construction), for each skill level (unskilled, semi-skilled, skilled, highly skilled), and often for different zones. Rates usually have a basic part and a VDA that is revised from the cost of living, often twice a year. Read the current notification for the category, skill and zone of each site.

What should you know before you check the rates?

• The Labour Commissioner, Haryana, by letter dated 05.10.2026 (published on hrylabour.gov.in), directed field officers to implement the notification dated 09.04.2026 fixing minimum rates of wages in all establishments, including petty establishments.
• We could not open the 09.04.2026 notification on an official government website, so no rates are shown here yet.
