PagarBook alternative for labour contractors

If you are looking for a PagarBook alternative built for labour contractors, the main difference is focus. PagarBook is a broad attendance and payroll app, with selfie and face recognition, GPS, a biometric device and statutory payroll filing. HaazriPro does one job for contractors: supervisors mark attendance at client sites by tapping each staff member's face photo, offline, and the month's salary sheet and site-wise client bill come straight from it.

What the supervisor sees Every staff member is a face, not a row of names. Tap a face to mark present, late, half-day or absent; each status has its own colour ring, even with no network. Start 30-day free trial

PagarBook facts checked on 8 October 2026 from PagarBook's own pages, linked in each row. PagarBook may have changed since; check its site for the current position.

When is PagarBook the better fit?

Be clear about what you need. PagarBook covers ground HaazriPro does not:

  • Statutory payroll in one app. If you want PF, ESI, professional tax and TDS filing handled alongside attendance, PagarBook lists these on its home page. HaazriPro deliberately leaves statutory payroll to your CA or payroll provider.
  • Field staff with GPS. PagarBook offers GPS attendance and geofencing. HaazriPro does not track location.
  • Self-marking at a gate. If you want each person to mark themselves with a face scan or a device, PagarBook sells that. HaazriPro is built around a supervisor marking.
  • iPhone users. PagarBook lists an iOS app; HaazriPro's supervisor app is Android-first.

When is HaazriPro the better fit?

HaazriPro is narrower on purpose. It suits a contractor whose staff work at clients' premises:

  • Many client sites, one supervisor each. Staff are assigned to sites, and each supervisor sees only the faces assigned to their site and shift.
  • Similar names. Marking is by face photo, never by name, so Anil is not marked on Anis's row.
  • No biometric data. You keep an ordinary photo of each staff member, not face templates or fingerprints.
  • Client billing. At month end, the same attendance becomes a bill per site: staff-days multiplied by that site's rate.
  • One flat price. ₹499 a month covers up to 500 staff with unlimited supervisors and sites, so adding staff does not change the bill.

In short: if your staff mostly work at one office or factory and you want payroll filing in the same tool, a broad app fits. If your staff are spread across client sites and your real problems are wrong-person marking, month-end retyping and client bills, a focused tool fits better.

What does a supervisor's day look like in HaazriPro?

At the start of the shift the supervisor opens the app and picks the site. The screen shows a grid of face photos for the staff assigned to that site and shift. One tap marks a person present; a long list of names never appears. Late arrivals, half-days, leave, overtime and transfers to another site each have their own status and colour, shown as a ring on the photo, so the supervisor can see at a glance who is still unmarked. If the site has no network, the marks are saved on the phone and sent when a signal returns. The supervisor does not wait for anything to load.

In the office, the owner sees every site's attendance as it syncs, including when each mark was made, so a day filled in late stands out. At month end the salary sheet (days, overtime and advances to net payable) and each site's bill are ready to check and share on WhatsApp as PDFs, without retyping a register.

How do the prices compare?

PagarBook prices per staff member per year, exclusive of GST, with tiers for the app, the web dashboard and its Lens face recognition, and says marking attendance is free (PagarBook pricing). Check its current rates for your headcount and the features you need. HaazriPro is ₹499 a month flat, up to 500 staff, with a 30-day free trial and no card.

The fair comparison depends on your size. Per-staff pricing is cheap for a handful of staff. A flat price favours an agency with many staff across many sites.

Can you move your history across?

Yes. Export your past attendance as a sheet with one row per staff member and one column per day, like our monthly attendance sheet. Our team loads it into HaazriPro and matches every name to exactly one staff record. Names that could belong to two people come back to you to decide; we never guess.

What other PagarBook alternatives do contractors look at?

Most lists of PagarBook alternatives are office payroll tools. These are the ones built for staff spread across sites, each described from its own website as checked on 8 October 2026:

  • SalaryBox: AI selfie attendance, biometric devices and geofencing for multi-site teams, with payroll. (salarybox.in; see our SalaryBox comparison)
  • HajariBook: a site management app for contractors and builders, with selfie and face recognition, location checks and QR check-in. (hajaribook.com)
  • Truein: time and attendance for hourly and multi-site workforces, using face recognition and geofencing. (truein.com)
  • ubiAttendance: face recognition, kiosk, QR, geofenced and offline attendance across many industries. (ubitechsolutions.com)

All four have staff mark themselves, by selfie, face scan or device. HaazriPro is the option where the supervisor marks the site by tapping faces, and no biometric data is collected.

What should you check before switching?

  1. List what you use today: attendance only, salary, statutory filing, GPS?
  2. If you rely on statutory filing in the app, plan who will do it after you switch.
  3. Run both for one month at one site and compare the salary sheet and the client bill.
  4. Ask your supervisors which they find faster to mark at a busy shift change.
